It’s a New Year!

Is it really 2013 already? Wow! That was fast. It is true what they say, “It goes by soooo fast!” I have to remember not to blink. But then my eyes would dry out. So that’s not good. Ok corny joke. haha!

Our miracle baby is already 9 months old (7 mos. adjusted). He is very social and loves to babble and giggle and even standing up, with support of course. Every time we stand him up his face lights up so fast, like it’s the most fun thing in the whole world.

We do therapy every other week. Des’ therapist said that he is doing great! We are currently working crawling. He’s already sitting up by himself so the next step is crawling. I love learning from the therapist. How our body remembers movement. How a little tweak here and there is such a big deal for our brains and bodies. I have to say that I am very grateful that we have access to this kind of help without worrying about finances.

This January, I noticed that this is the month that Des really knows and recognizes his name. Every time I call his attention he looks at me. I love that! Other new developments with our little guy is that he’s saying “dadadadadada!!!” sooo much! He’s getting so loud and we love it. He’s also into touching our faces. Which sometimes turns into slapping mommy and daddy on the face. It surprises us how strong he is.
